Dear Colleagues,

The Board of Directors of the Oxford Patristics Conference have set the date of the next conference to 5.-9.8.2024. We look forward to meeting in person in Oxford. Future cycles of the conference will return to the normal four-year intervals (2027, 2031, etc). Please consult this website and twitter feed (@OxfordPatristic) for further updates and news.

The directors are very conscious that the conference fee for delegates is a considerable one. All efforts have been made to keep costs as low as possible. The bulk of the fee is to cover the use of Examination Schools, which is the only building in Oxford that has the capacity needed for the conference. The Examination Schools, in line with many organizations, has had to increase its rates to reflect the current rise in its running costs, and there are also considerable additional costs involved in hiring a marquee, as well as venue hire for the day of registration. This is all before the standard administrative costs involved in running this large-scale event.

In order to support each other, please let us know, if you can find funding sources for bursaries.

So far, the following bursaries are available.

The call for papers, workshops and

registration for the forthocoming

conference is closing. As we only

have a limited space and over the past

conferences always have been heavily

overs-subscribed, acceptance of

registration happens on a first come,

first served basis.
