Call for Papers
We look forward to welcoming you back to Oxford for the next Patristics Conference in 2027, returning to our pre-pandemic four-year cycle.
Registration and abstract submission is open from 1 May 2026, linked from this website.
As in previous years, demand is expected to be high, and places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. We therefore encourage early registration once booking opens.
Conference fees will be:
-
Standard rate: £400
-
Student rate: £250
-
Day rate: £150
In order to maximise the funds available for bursaries to support those on lower incomes, we will not be offering an early-bird rate this year.
Registration will open soon after the call for abstracts. If you would like to receive a reminder as soon as registration opens, you may register your interest here: Oxford Patristics Conference 2027 – Register Your Interest – Fill in form

Workshops and workshop papers

participants will be informed and can submit their abstracts (Please mark as workshop contribution and indicate the name of the workshop).
Conditions for workshop proposals are:
- contributors to workshops should come from
mininum two different countries
- the workshop proposer has to be registered
- once accepted, contributors have to register
Please submit your abstract for a short communication here. Note: you can only submit
one abstract - if there are two submissions in your name, the directors reserve the choice.
Once submitted, please make sure that you
also register, once registration opens.
Only submissions of registered people will be peer reviewed. Registrations are on a first come policy.
Once you are informed about the outcome of the peer review process and, in case, your abstract is rejected, we have a cancellation policy in place.
Abstracts of workshop-papers can only be
submitted, once the workshop has been accepted.
